Brinda's Curse
Brinda realised her sin of mistaken identity. In her anger she cursed Vishnu “You played a trick and seperated me from my beloved husband forever. You will also suffer a similar fate and be seperated from your beloved wife and undergo consequences suffering as a punishment for this sin.”
It is on account of Brinda’s curse that Lord Vishnu in his avtaar or manifistation of Rama in the next yuga suffered seperation from his beloved wife Sita during his vanvavas, it is said.
Fulfilling the duty of a pativrata like Satidevi, Brinda shed her mortal body to be burnt along with the body of her husband.
