O divine Dawn, come with all thy splendours, awaken us today to the great felicity, even as thou once awakened us, O high-born, delightful with thy steeds. O daughter of Heaven, thou break forth today, O high born, delightful with thy steeds. Break forth today, O bearer of treasure, O daughter of Heaven, as once thou broke forth, O Still mightier in thy strength, high born, delightful with thy steeds. There are priests who sing thy praise, with their hymns they manifest thee, Bright One. They bear glorious and lavish gifts, O highborn, delightful with thy steeds. When these, thy bands seek to pleasure thee in hope of winning wealth, they set their desires all around, they lavish rich gifts, O high born, delightful with thy steeds. Grant to these learned men, O Dawn, queen of plenty, fame, affluence and heroic sons. To these princes who shall lavish on us thy riches, O highborn, delightful with thy steeds.

O Dawn, Dame of plenty, bring to them high and resplendent fame, our rich princes, who shall give us enjoyment of the felicity of horses and kine, O highborn, delightful with thy steeds. Bring to us too, O Daughter of the Sky, subsistence in our herds of kine, together with the rays of the Sun, accompanied with the purity of bright and burning lights, O highborn, delightful with thy steeds. Break forth, shining, O daughter of Heaven, tarry not thy task, for thee the Sun afflicts not with his burning rays as he does the thief and the robber, O highborn, delightful with thy steeds. So much, and more than this shouldest thou give, for to thy devotees thou breakest forth in thy fullest glories, O highborn, delightful with thy steeds.

The divine Dawn, of the glorious journey, of rosy limbs, by Law true to the Truth, who brings with her heaven of light, is worshipped by the sages. She has vision, awakens the man, makes the pathway smooth to travel and walks in front! How lofty is her car, how vast and all-pervading the Goddess, how brings she the splendour before the days! She harnesses her cows of rosy light, harming none, brings perennial riches. She lays down the paths to happiness, adored by all, she gives every boon. Behold her in the East, coming with changing colours, enrobed in Order, one who knows and reaches her quarters. See, how luminous is she bathed in light that we may see her. Driving away all darkness and enemies, Dawn, the Daughter of Heaven, has come with splendour. Dawn the daughter of Heaven, like a woman full of happiness, moves to meet the Gods. Unveiling the boons for him who gives in sacrifice, the Goddess ever young, has again brought the light even as in the beginning.

The enlightened yoke their mind, yea, they yoke their thoughts to Savitar, the one knower of all, he alone assigns the work of sacrifice. Lofty is the praise of Savitar, the creating God. He, the Seer assumes all forms that he may bring forth good for the biped and quadruped. Savitar, the supreme God, lights our heavens and shines after the coming of Dawn. His going forth all the other Gods follow after his greatness. He is Savitar, the radiant God who has by his powers measured out our earthly realms. To the three shining spheres thou goest being manifested by the rays of the Sun. Thou encompassess on both sides of the Night, yea, thou art Mitra, O God, with thy established laws, Thou alone are the lord of creation and generation. Pushan thou art, by thy goings forth in thy paths, and thou art lord over all this world. O Savitar, the seer Syavasva has brought lauds to thee.
