Jai Maa Durga |

Like-wise she would devour chariots along with horses and warriors into her cave-like mouth and crush them to pieces with her horrible sharp teeth.
Kali was the very embodiment of death to the demons. She lifted an elephant with one of her hands and hurled it over the army of demons crushing thousands of them to death in a moment.
The Mahakali never missed her target. She would catch the demons by their forelocks and necks and crush them to death with her feet.
All the weapons and missiles hurled by the demons disappeared into her vast mouth.
Thus Kali exterminated the demon army in no time. Those who survived fled the field in great terror.
Chanda and Munda tried to infuse vigour into their depressed army, but the horror of the Kali was so that none could stop them from fleeing.
When the strong and sturdy chieftains Chanda and Munda saw the annihilation of their army, they were red with rage.
Chanda ran towards the horrible Kali as his death was calling him. He shot a Volley of arrows at Kali and clouded her.
Then Kalika filled with unbounded rage laughed heartily in a loud roar. Kali, the very embodiment of anger, caught hold of Chanda by the hair in one hand and beheaded him with the other.
Munda pounced upon Kali to avenge the death of Chanda. Kali with the same sword beheaded him with one stroke. Those who survived the fury of Kali fled the field in great terror.
Then Kali with the severed heads of Chanda and Munda in her hands presented herself before Durga.
Durga blessed her saying, "O Kalike! You have come to me with the severed heads of Chanda and Munda. The world shall henceforth worship thee as Chaamunda Devi."
