Instruction in ritual, dealing with percepts and prohibitions for the purification of this Kaliyuga, is called the Yamuna; and the stories of Vishnu and Shankara that bring joy and blessing to the hearer are glorious as the triple stream known as Triveni.


Unwavering faith in one’s own religious duty is the immortal banyan tree, and noble actions represent the royal family of that king of holy places (or those who frequent that holy place). Easy of access to all, on any day, at any place, this moving Prayaga cures all the ills of pious devotees


This king of the holy places is indescribable and not of this world; it grants immediate fruit and is manifest virtue.


At this Prayaga of holy men, whoever hears and understands with joyful heart and baths with the utmost devotion, wins the four rewards while still alive.


In an instant behold the effect of the bath; crows become cuckoos and cranes become swans. Let no one marvel at hearing this, for the influence of good company is no secret.


Valmiki, Narada and Agasthya have told its effect upon themselves with their own lips. All creatures in the world, conscious and unconscious, all beings that move in the water, or in the earth, or in the air.


- which at any time or place, by any effort, have attained to knowledge, or glory, or salvation, or power, or virtue, - be sure that their goal has been attained through association with the good; there is no other means in the world or in the Vedas.
