‘All that you have to do, my friend, is to go and see Sita and bring back news of her. Then the lotus-eyed Rama will recover her by the might of his own arm, taking with him in mere sport a host of monkeys.

Taking with him his army of monkeys, Rama will exterminate the demons and bring back Sita; and the gods and Narada and the other sages will hymn his praises that sanctify th three spheres. Whoever hears, hymns, recites or meditates upon this glory attains to the supreme state – the glory sung by Tulasidasa, who is devoted like a bee to the lotus feet of Raghubira.

The glories of Raghubira are the remedy for all the ills of birth and death. All men and women who listen to them will have their every wish fulfilled by Trishira’s foe.

Listen, then, to the praises of Rama, who possesses a form dark as the dark-blue lotus, more beautiful than a myriad Cupids, and whose name is a fowler who sweeps into his net the birds of sin.
